Fast ways to make money and easy ways to make money are phrases that are seen all too often on the Internet. They often come with unfulfilled promises and even guarantees. It is impossible to hold Internet businesses to the same standards and credibility of traditional businesses so always be a little bit cautious.

There are easy ways to make money… get a job. This certainly isn’t the best way and doesn’t leave you destined for retirement and wealth at any time soon. Unfortunately here you trade your time for money, which means if you don’t work, you don’t get paid and this locks you into the unenviable rat race from which most trying to escape. A job doesn’t provide any passive income to allow you to spend more time doing the things that you love most.

Is there a better way of making money? Yes. Though exactly how depends on your personal and financial goals, so best to sit down and get quite clear on these first.

You can make money doing practically anything if you think about it so maybe its time to get creative? What do you enjoy or have a lot of? Or no longer need? This leads nicely to the fundamental way in which the rich get richer and compound their wealth year after year: They invest. They use the money that they save and they invest in shares, property, businesses, funds- something that will give a high probability of making them money not eating it away; an asset not a liability.

Over the last decade there have been many easy ways to make money on the Internet, unfortunately times have changed and the time and knowledge required to be successful is increasing. Good news is, all the opportunities are still there, here are some ideas:

You could make money selling your own product- a tangible product or an information product such as an eBook or a service if you have a skill that people may be interested in. You could sell someone else’s products commonly known as affiliate marketing. Perhaps join Clickbank.Com, Amazon.Com and other big online retail sites and take a small cut for promoting/offering their products and services to a particular audience. If you already have an online presence and are generating a lot of traffic and unique visitors it may be possible to monetize the site by selling advertising space via Google Adsense or directly to business owners who would have an interest in promoting to the types of visitor you attract.

There is no shortage of ideas for easy ways to make money, though personally, I wouldn’t call most of them easy. It depends on your goals. For a bit of fast money, get an extra bit of work somewhere, but to build a solid financial foundation and grow your wealth year after year retiring well before the majority of your peers, it’s time you invested your time and energy in learning about investing.
